About us
Joe’s Jerky is the creation of Jodie Patla and her father, Joe Robinson, a Vietnam Veteran with over 50 years experience as a meat cutter.
After the passing of Joe's wife, Jodie got him into making jerky for the American Legion and VFW as a way to stay active. Joe had a knack for creating some of the best jerky and meat snacks and everyone was constantly asking for more.
In 2011, they decided to legalize their bootleg jerky and go into business fulltime and Joe's Jerky was born.
They opened their first shop in small 900 sq ft store front and quickly realized they needed more space so a year later they purchased a 4000 sq ft building which became home to their manufacturing facility as well as a corner market which grew to include a butcher shop, deli and a pizza shop.
By 2022 they realized that they couldn't make enough jerky in their current location and Joe was getting older wanted to slow down from his 7 day work week so they set out to find a co-packer. It took over two years to find the right co-packer to assist in making the Jerky to Joe's standards.
So in 2024 they decided to sell their current building and retail business and with the help of their co-packer, to produce the jerky, they now will have the time to focus on the sales and distribution of Joe's Jerky full time.

Meet Us

Jodie-Lynn Patla, President Board of Directors
Founder and President, Jodie is the driving force behind the company. She keeps her hands full with the day to day operations and expansion of the business. She graduated from Cazenovia College and have worked in many fields from Hospital Admin. of three Animal Hospital to Interior Designer and Project Admin. for for Turning Stone Casino. Jodie is widowed by her husband and has one adult son who assists with the business when possible.

Joe Robinson, Vice President
Board of Directors
Founder and Vice President, Joe has over 60 years working in the meat industry. Joe has developed the jerky process to what it is today using the best ingredients and just the right amount of spice to get the perfect flavor. Even though Joe just turned 75 he is still actively involved in the day to day operations and you can often see him working a booth at a show selling jerky and interacting with customers. Joe has 5 children, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Not to mention all the "stray kids" they took in over the years.

Lonnie Guile, Secretary
Board of Directors
Lonnie joined the Joe's Jerky family in 2016 and assists with sales and marketing along with our facility maintenance. Lonnie became part owner in 2020 after the sudden death of his beautiful 19 yr old daughter. Lonnie can often be found working at the shows, selling jerky and interacting with our customers. He definitely has the knack for the gift to gab when it comes to talking about jerky.

Connor Parisou,
Board of Directors
Connor is Jodie's son and Joe's grandson, he is caring and compassionate. He currently works full time as an X-Ray/CT Tech at a local hospital but is always up to lending a hand whenever needed. He moved home and helped to hold down the fort and care for his sick step-father before his passing so Jodie could concentrate on building up Joe's Jerky. Connor is also our Social Media Manager.
